2013 Photo Bloopers!
In some ways, the outtakes from this year’s photo sessions are more revealing and worthwhile than the ‘good’ ones. To protect the innocent, no names are released here. My apologies to anyone who is recognized.
Happy Holidays everyone!

Great photos, Michael! I love the half human- half bonsai pictures!
Moss tower man is my favorite!
I didn’t even see the tower man until recently…
Thanks for another great year of posts Michael. Looking forward to seeing you in October.
Happy bonsai filled new year.
Cheers Graham
Hi Michael,
The first picture appears to be some sort of larch. Is this a collected western or alpine larch? L. laricina is one of my favourite species yet the western ones have been slow to make it to the bonsai scene. Is there a reason for this? I would really like to hear your opinion on western larches for bonsai.
Thank you for all the informative articles,
Aaron
European Larch. I did a photo shoot with the German bonsai magazine Bonsai Art in 2013 with this tree. As usual, when under a lens I act ridiculous.
[…] Downton Abbey fans will appreciate that, yes, Crataegus Bonsai also does a refresher from the last season: https://crataegus.com/2013/12/27/2013-photo-bloopers/ […]
