Winter Seasonal-lite (Next course: Late January, 2022)

  • The Winter course covers the technical tangles inherent in repotting, with the three common root ball techniques, design puzzles of pot choice, soil media, and a fair sprinkle of other topics.
  • The Seasonal-lite platform is with videos and photos using the Zoom conferencing app
  • A full recording is made available to participants
  • Course is interactive: Participant questions are encouraged throughout
  • Total of 6 hours (two 3 hour mornings), starting at 8 am and ending at 11:00 am PT (Pacific Time, USA; -7 or -8 Coordinated Universal Time, depending on the session)

Spring Seasonal-lite (Next course: May 2022)

  • Our Spring course features: Spring growth management, diseases and pests, grafting, correcting tight root balls, ‘It’s NOT my fault!’ mystery spring shoot loss, watering single flush pines, fertilizing, decandling, a white-out exercise, a design segment, and more
  • The Seasonal-lite platform is with videos and photos using the Zoom conferencing app; a full recording made available to participants.
  • Course will be interactive: Participants are encouraged to ask questions throughout

  • Fall course focuses on conifer and deciduous fall techniques, 4 design traps to avoid, Suzuki’s 2 design questions, fine tuning foliage pad organization, winter care, and much more

Wild for Accents (Next Course: Summer, 2022)

A mini Seasonal-lite, 3 hours—an overview of creating, comparison of styles, and use in display of these playful plants. Presentation is 3 hours total, questions encouraged throughout, with a full recording made available to participants.
